A Vision of Students Today created by Michael Wesch is a video that made me wonder if my life will be like the lives of those students in a few years. It made me wonder how my life will play out and if all of the technology in the world will help make our lives better or worse. It mattered to me because the video showed how my life could possibly play out and how that it could affect my learning, job, and even more the outcome of my life. This movie also mattered to me because it showed that most people are not as lucky as we are and that we can change the world by learning and paying attention in class. Another reason the video mattered to me was because how students made time for things in their day such as work and sleep, and that to do all of that we have to multi task. To me this video showed me that I could learn to pay attention more in class and try harder, students could focus on education and cut out most of the useless concepts in their life such as facebook and focus more on studying and learning how to do things in their lives. This matters to the world because if students don't focus and work on their studies it could impact the world and everyone in a negative way because no one would have a position of leadership and would all be working in crummy job situations. This video mattered to me because it showed how much school and technology could control the outcome of my life. This video helped changed my perspective on the way I look at learning.
